Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux System Administrator) - US Remote Eligible

General Mills is seeking a senior Linux System Administrator for our Compute Platforms Team. We work as a global team to design, build and run world class compute and storage infrastructure to drive business capability. We have a long track record of delivering resilient and efficient operating environments and are now embarking on an ambitious initiative to leverage the scale and capability of cloud platforms. • Conceive, advocate and implement initiatives to improve governance and sustainability of server infrastructure
• Monitoring and manage Enterprise critical server platforms, both virtual and physical
• Exercise leadership and participate modernization of configuration management, automation frameworks and process automation
• Consult as needed on Cloud platform project deliverables for server infrastructure
• Participate in the planning and execution of complicated technical projects that interact with a wide variety of teams within General Mills.
• Manage a continuous integration/continuous deployment methodology for Infrastructure technologies based on Terraform.
• Work with git and associated workflows.
• Technical troubleshooting and vendor case management
• Rotating on call platform support for both Linux and Windows

• Bachelor's Degree required; Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years Systems Engineering
• Infrastructure Engineering experience - Server, Storage, Linux, Windows, VMWare
• Deep competency in Linux operating system concepts, networking and authentication protocols
• Familiarity with Windows server operating system
• Experience managing backup infrastructure, preferably Netbackup
• Fluent in one or more automation languages such as Python
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a team setting
• Strong aptitude to learn and passion for problem solving

• Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines for cloud infrastructure deployments utilizing technologies such as Terraform, YAML, Python, Golang, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes; cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) preferred, but Amazon (AWS) and Azure our also relevant
• Experience with Docker container related technologies like Kubernetes
• Experience with Agile methodology and techniques
• Familiarity with modern Software Engineering principles
• Possess a strong Governance mindset
