Growing together.This position’s responsibilities will include supporting program managers on various property and casualty and management liability insurance programs insured commercially and through the company’s single-parent captive, preparing underwriting data, managing regulatory reporting, issuing COIs, responding to credentialing loss history requests, conducting contract review and risk management consultation, and other general risk management activities.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

Support various insurance programs, including but not limited to, general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, property, professional liability, medical malpractice, and cyber insurance, insured both commercially and through the company’s captive insurance programs

Manage certain regulatory reporting requirements

Manage and direct incoming requests/inquiries for the centralized department inbox

Respond to certificates of insurance requests and insurance company loss history credentialing requests

Gather, organize, validate, summarize, and distribute loss and other insurance-related data associated with insured programs, typically in Excel format

Verify invoices and provide direction for payment processing for insurance programs

Review insurance-related contract provisions to provide contractual risk transfer guidance to businesses on customer, vendor, and other third-party risks

Gather, maintain, and prepare documentation to represent insurance programs and departmental statistics and metrics

Organize, schedule, and facilitate creation of presentations for various quarterly and ad hoc meetings

Gather and analyze data in support of risk management due diligence analysis for potential acquisitions and divestitures

Back-up support for actuarial analysis projects associated with the captive insurance programs: gather and assimilate actuarial data, verify accuracy, and ensure data integrity

Provide consultation and guidance to businesses and program insureds

Manage and support various risk management and captive special projects

2+ years of experience in commercial property/casualty insurance or corporate property/casualty risk management

MS Office skills required, specifically Word and Power Point. Excel skills at the intermediate to advanced level

Understanding of basic property/casualty commercial insurance principles and basic commercial insurance coverage and policy forms

Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize, multitask, and manage projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree

Experience with captive insurance companies

Familiarity with standard accounting practices

Risk management consultation and negotiation experience regarding contractual insurance requirements for UHG and its customer, vendor, and landlord agreements

Project management and internal consulting skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple relationships

Experience with risk management information systems (RMIS)

Industry designation experience such as ARM or CPCU

Ability to generate, pursue and operationalize ideas and processes

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
