You create, own and are responsible for the database managed services that best serves the Enterprise in its functional and non-functional needs. You will work towards building and operating the software that enables automation at various stages in database provisioning. You identify and drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development or improve the quality of service provisioning. You have deep and broad engineering skills and are capable of standing up an architecture in its whole on your own. As a Lead Engineer , you will:• Be a significant code contributor, own and be accountable for your work, drive best practices and ensure the development of high-quality code.• Be a great team player, mentor team members and help build a team of high caliber software development engineers• Drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, infrastructure, build and deployment• Advocate for technologies, frameworks, design patterns, processes and guiding values of the database architecture• Ensure all code adheres to all development & security standards• Delivers high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables with broad impact (high throughput and low latency)• Communicates and coordinates with project team, partners, and stakeholders• Demonstrates expertise in analysis and optimization of systems capacity, performance, and operational health• Maintains deep technical knowledge within areas of expertise• Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education• Experience in building highly scalable distributed systems Deep technical skills in one of more of each of the following :• CICD: Code Pipelines like Docker, Drone, Vela, Spinnaker, Testing frameworks, Gatlin • Automation tools : Rundeck, Ansible• Languages and Frameworks like Spring Boot, Java, Kotlin, REST• Front end technologies like React• Databases like Postgres, Cassandra, Mongo, Elasticsearch• Distributed event streaming platform like Kafka • Metrics visualizations like Grafana • Log aggregation with Logstash and Kibana • Cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform • Elastic compute platforms like Kubernetes About you:• 4 year degree or equivalent experience• 7+ years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation• Demonstrates strong domain-specific knowledge regarding Target's technology capabilities, and key competitors' products and differentiating features• Demonstrates broad and deep expertise in multiple computer languages and frameworks (e.g., open source).
