Senior Software Engineer General Information Job Description: Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments. Contribute to large scale planning of strategies. Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments. Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures. Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals. Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff. Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education. Required Qualifications: • 7+ years of Analytics experience • 4+ years of experience manipulating data and creating analytical queries/scripts using SQL other programming languages • Experience in creating Business Intelligence visualizations using Power BI Cloud and On Premise Solutions • Experience in components of the Power BI Service, ie: DataFlows, Pipelines, Workspaces, etc. • Experience with relational modeling, STAR schema, DAX, etc. • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy • Experience creating Technical Documentation • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic, and matrixed environment • Collaborate and consult with business partners, peers, colleagues, external contractors, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals • Experience working in an Agile environment and sizing work accordingly Desired Qualifications: • Proficiency in Python • Knowledge and understanding of JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint and Power Apps • Experience software development life cycle (SDLC) management skills • Experience using source control - eg TFS GIT • Experience developing CI/CD processes to allow Reports to be moved between non-Production and Production • Teradata, SQL, and Oracle experience • Knowledge of Azure Additional Notes: • Contract - 12 months, possibility to convert (please no visa sponsorship, need to know vacations ahead of time) • RTO schedule - 3 days in office MANDATORY JOB DESCRIPTION Job summary: Interacting with Microsoft's Power BI to generate, operate, and maintain BI applications that serve to provide the company with actionable business insights.
