Senior Software Quality EngineerJob Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Senior Software Quality Engineer for a contract to hire position in Richfield, MN. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Quality Engineer. This position ensures that technology initiatives meet business requirements and function as defined.
  • This position is responsible for creating technology-based solutions by developing and implementing test automation to deliver quality products.
  • The person in this position mitigates the risk of changes to the current production environment by testing, coordinating, and overseeing testing issue resolution. The person in this position provides feedback, develops interfaces, and maintains quality engineering practices and procedures.
  • This person provides guidance, mentoring and consultation to team members and business partners regarding IS&T Quality Engineering practices.
  • Quality Engineering is a core function of our development team, not a tollgate in a pipeline, and as such we're seeking an individual who will actively contribute to the overall solution design and team operation.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in IT and Quality Assurance and engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in automation development and implementation, CI/CD, modern systems development life cycles, and software testing and automation within agile environments utilizing Test Driven development (TDD), Shift left, and DevOps methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in Object Oriented design patterns and coding best practices and scripted functions, mainly in Java and .Net development.
  • Expertise with test data management strategy and modern Quality practices.
  • Hands on experience using open source tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Karate, JMeter, LoadRunner, UFT/QTP, TestComplete, and Gatling.
  • Proficiency in writing queries against databases and data warehouses (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Experience with reporting tools (JIRA, Client ALM, Zephyr, Rally, Rational, MTM, TFS/VSTS, SOAPUI, and virtualization technology).
  • Proficient with systems development life cycles and software testing and automation within agile environments and knowledge of Test-Driven development (TDD), Shift left and DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as a positive attitude, strong work ethic and good judgment and analytical skills.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field.
  • Certifications in testing processes and procedures or Quality engineering processes and procedures.
  • Certification in Java or.Net programming.
