You will be a Senior Systems Engineer within a team of technology professionals, part an Operations group which maintains physical datacenter and cloud environments dedicated to one of our customers. This includes supporting the hypervisor and OS management of the virtual servers within those datacenters for that client.

Own, monitor, and maintain cutting-edge Hosted IT infrastructure technologies, including:

Microsoft ADS and Windows Server Platforms

Linux: UBUNTU and CENTOS Platforms

F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers

FortiGate & Checkpoint Firewalls

Network Hardware (Cisco Routers & Switches)

Nutanix Hardware and VMware Hypervisors

Remote-Access patterns via client VPN, site-to-site VPNs and Web Portals

AWS cloud infrastructure

Work with design teams to contribute infrastructure designs and support client implementations within new and existing environments.

Operate as a Service Desk Tech Lead for our client environment.

Functional technology skills in server OS technologies. (Windows/Linux)

Able to learn technologies and follow technological Standard-Operating-Procedures for technology tasks which may not be network-focused.

Able to understand and manage utilization and interact with internal staff in a service-oriented way.

Experience on-site management and hardware install of environments within our Minneapolis Datacenters in the MINNEAPOLIS area.

Basic Requirements:

5+ years of systems experience, upkeep, and administration responsibilities.

1+ years’ experience managing IT-related tasks, minor projects and providing status updates.

1+ years' experience with server operations and being able to contribute to a DEVSECOPS pipeline as an Operations SME.

1+ years' experience with HANDS-ON hardware server management within Datacenters, Including:

Rack-mounting, installing, cabling, configuring hardware solo with appropriate tools (crash cart/Server lift)

Be part of an ON-CALL rotation with 24-hour monitoring and emergency response required.

Be part of a Service Desk where you manage incoming queues and dispatch tickets.

Able to travel to datacenters and ICF offices with equipment and tools locally within the MINNEAPOLIS area.

Preferred Requirements:

AWS Associate Certifications

Experience working in an organization that does internet technologies or hosts client environments.

Operations skills on VMware, Windows/Linux and web hosting environments.

May require to submit to client requirements for Fingerprinting, Drug Testing and Background Checks if asked.

Ability to provide support for Infrastructure technologies like networking, Compute and Hypervisor layers with external SME support.

Ability to research issues while troubleshooting and apply knowledge to situations is a must.

Ability to discovery of new and existing environments and work through migrations and tech refreshes of those environments.

An interest in automation.

Move with process and systems that are in constant flux.

Cage/Rack management best practices

Network and Power cabling

Work on solutions that do not cause down time and work on changes within approved change windows on nights and weekends.
