Software Engineer BCForward is currently seeking highly motivated Software Engineer for Remote opportunity. Title: Software EngineerLocation: MinnesotaJob Mode: RemoteRate: TBDDuration: Contract Job Responsibilities: Work in an Agile product team environment participating in various scrum ceremonies Develop end to end software functionality, including user interfaces, backend and middleware components, and unit tests Follow application lifecycle guidelines using CI/CD pipelines, Agile Story boards, and GIT-based repositories Develop database components, including queries and utilizing object relationship management capabilities Assist developing user stories including reviewing acceptance criteria and estimating effort Draft technical user stories for infrastructure and technical debt Assist in various troubleshooting, researching and analysis activities Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Location will be hybrid, primarily working remote with a couple days per month in the office in Eagan area. Will consider remote only. Experience is Required Strong JavaScript, SQL Server, and .NET skills At least 3 years of software development experience Working knowledge of all phases of a development life cycle Excellent understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices Some Nice to Haves Experience with SPA type applications and Angular 4+ Demonstrated experience working with or creating web services (preferably Web API), including securing a web service Working knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS) e.g., Lambda, Terraform, PostgreSQL, GraphQL Demonstrated interest in technology - coursework, hobbies, internships, etc. Education:Minimum education and/or experience: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 10 years' experience managing projects ranging from simple to difficult complexity while demonstrating increasing scope and depth of responsibilities, and involving multiple technological environments and/or business areas that IT supports, with demonstrated competency in the application of PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas OR Master's Degree with a minimum of 7 years' experience managing projects involving Information Technology and/or Healthcare disciplines, ranging from simple to difficult complexity while demonstrating increasing scope and depth of responsibilities, and involving multiple technological environments and/or business areas that IT supports, with demonstrated competency in the application of the PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas. Licensure/Certification Required: Possession of current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or a comparable current certification from a nationally recognized project management governance body.
