- Establishes, aggregates, and shares team standards and best practices across department.
- Mentors, guides and coach's engineers within their division for technical and leadership growth
- Recruits, hires and onboards talent within respective department, ensuring the right mix of talent within team.
- Ensures production stability, monitoring, and root cause analysis for their products.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 4-5 years of professional experience required
- 3-5+ years of experience working with modern engineering tools, languages and practices.
- 2-3 years of management experience leading software engineering teams, having managed 4 or more direct reports.
- Experienced facilitating 1:1's, doing performance management/360 reviews and proving feedback to team.
- Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions.
- Experience developing and leading solution delivery using agile methods.
- Capable of communicating between product, engineering, and the business.
- Ability to successfully communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.
- Leads the team to collaboration.
- You have professional experience with JavaScript, NodeJS, and Express You are familiar with container-based development using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS
- You are an outstanding software engineer with strong CS fundamentals
- You possess a solid understanding of the key components in the lifecycle of shipping software: prioritization, scoping, estimating, developing, testing and QA, documentation, release management, and support.
