Compensation Overview of the Position

-Full-time, Regular

-Starting wage based on experience: $27.00-$29.00/hr or $56,160- $60,320/year

-40 hours a week, 12-months per year

-Schedule is based on business need

-Civil Service Job Classification

-The successful completion of a background check is required. However, criminal convictions do not automatically disqualify finalists from employment.

Job Duties:

-Ensure a high-quality dining experience for the campus community by upholding standards in food quality, sanitation, and service.

-Coordinate daily team staffing requirements to meet objectives for high-volume, complex operational processes.

-Oversee inventory levels and manage product orders with accuracy and timeliness.

-Train and mentor team to meet business objectives, fostering skill development to strengthen both individual performance and team cohesion.

-Innovate and refine recipes, processes, and operational efficiencies to elevate the customer dining experience.

-Implement performance management practices and administer corrective actions as needed to maintain accountability and support team excellence.

-Demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written communication to effectively engage with team and management at all levels.

-Prioritize and actively promote a safe work environment by upholding both physical and mental well-being standards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and fostering a culture of support and awareness among team members.

Dining Services retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position to assist in all areas of Dining Operations based on business needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

BA/BS plus at least four years of experience or combination of related education and experience to equal at least 8 years

Preferred Qualifications

3 years in supervisory or management role related to food service

2 years scratch cooking experience

2 years high volume batch cooking experience

Proficient in food management systems (ie: recipe and inventory management software)

Proficient in Google Suite (docs, sheets, etc.)
