SQL OLAP Developer

Position Overview: We are looking for a seasoned leader to join our Data & Analytics team, focusing on SQL OLAP development. This role involves designing, building, and implementing a cutting-edge data storage solution on a cloud platform, specifically tailored to enhance data analytics and lay the groundwork for AI-driven insights.This is a direct hire position that will pay up to $150,000 annually and will be 3 days on site (2 days remote) in Mendota Heights, MN. Key Responsibilities:Data Storage Solution Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of a scalable data storage system using cloud technology, with a strong emphasis on SQL OLAP capabilities.OLAP Cube Development: Design, create, and maintain OLAP cubes to support advanced data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence.Data Structuring: Develop complex data models and frameworks that support both current analytics and future AI-driven projects.Collaboration: Work closely with data professionals, business stakeholders, and reporting teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.AI-Driven Data Preparation: Prepare the data storage infrastructure to support future AI and machine learning initiatives, ensuring data is optimally structured for advanced analytics.Best Practices & Standards: Establish and enforce best practices for SQL OLAP development, data governance, and security within the data storage environment.Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of the data architecture, ETL processes, and data models.Leadership & Mentorship: Provide thought leadership, guidance, and mentoring to development teams to enhance cloud and SQL OLAP competencies.System Management: Manage cloud environments, ensuring compliance with security policies and leveraging automation technologies where applicable.Qualifications:Educational Background: A degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, with advanced degrees and specialized cloud certifications being advantageous.Experience:7+ years of experience in SQL development and data warehousing.Significant expertise in SQL OLAP, including the design, development, and implementation of OLAP cubes.Extensive experience in architecting and deploying cloud-based solutions, particularly within Azure services.Proficiency in data modeling techniques and experience with data integration and ETL tools in an Azure environment.Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies is a plus.Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, including developers, business analysts, and subject-matter experts.Excellent project management skills, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.This position is ideal for a technical leader with deep expertise in SQL OLAP development, ready to drive innovation and excellence in a dynamic data-focused environment.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
