Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant in the Healthcare/NHS industry. This role can be performed in our office located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with maintaining accounting practices, managing financial records, and liaising with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities: Performing account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Conducting bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy in financial documents. Maintaining and managing general ledger accounting, contributing to the overall smooth operation of the company. Creating and entering journal entries, ensuring correct calculation, authorization, and documentation. Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reports. Conducting month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting. Utilizing PeopleSoft for various accounting tasks and operations. Applying knowledge of non-profit accounting to handle finance-related tasks effectively. Ensuring all accounting processes align with the financial policies and procedures of the organization. Requirements The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role within the Healthcare/NHS industry. Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is essential. The candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience in handling General Ledger and Journal Entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. Experience in Month End Close processes is required. Knowledge and use of PeopleSoft for accounting tasks is desirable. Experience in Non-profit Accounting, particularly within the healthcare sector, will be highly valued. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. The candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA is preferred. Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations within the Healthcare/NHS industry is necessary. The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work is essential. The candidate should be able to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of current financial trends and updates in the Healthcare/NHS industry is desirable. The candidate should have high ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct. Strong planning and organization skills are required.
