Sr. Accountant

Description Robert Half is seeking a Senior Accountant for the western suburbs. This position is a hybrid model. Salary up to $95K. Responsibilities: Perform assigned month-end close duties, including calculating accruals, entering journal entries, and reconciling general ledger accounts Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accuracy of related account balances Collaborate with the Controller on integrating businesses into the general ledger and maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts Assist with annual financial audit and interim audit procedures Participate in the implementation of internal controls, including evaluating, recommending, maintaining, and monitoring appropriate internal controls Interact with internal and external stakeholders in responding to inquiries or financial data reporting and ad hoc reporting requests Generate, review, and analyze financial reports Support annual physical inventory activity Coordinate with the corporate tax team to provide tax-related financial information on a timely basis Perform specialized accounting duties for operations as needed Assist in system enhancements and integration efforts throughout the organizationSkills: Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Plastics Manufacturing industry. Proficiency in bank reconciliations, general ledger, and journal entries. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Experience in executing month-end close processes. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
