Are you ready to help us make the future?Responsible for developing and delivery of building Fire Alarm solutions to support the Districts AOP. Responsibilities include – ensure correct applications and architecture is selected through design phase, support estimating, maintain district level quality, advise project manager on technical status, ensure schedules are met, ensure budgets are on track or early warning on negative deviation, lead systems problem solving efforts, support and participate in PEER review and TRR process. Additionally, support centralized engineering’s productivity and processes compliance to- standardization, process improvement, training, adoption and utilization of standard tools, inspect and ensure quality.Principal Accountabilities:

Overall responsibility for coordinating, scheduling and estimating the engineering work while ensuring the work products is compliant with customer requirements and meets high quality standards.Ensure budgets are on track or early warning on potential negative deviation or change order opportunities.

Advise project manager on technical status.Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers at all organizational levels

Lead systems problem solving efforts

Responsible for coordinating and assisting in site surveys, support and troubleshooting as required.

Support Estimating

Manages Engineering Peer Review process and support TRR Process for controls.

Maintain District Level Quality

Good knowledge and experience in basic Engineering Manager areas like Cost, Time and Risk and Customer

Evaluates engineer’s technical competence.Develops and shares solution development best practices and support efforts towards standardization, process improvement, training, adoption and utilization of standard tools.

Skills & Competencies:Strong Engineering skills in fire alarm systems

Understands how to develop engineering solutions in a design/build/retrofit situation

Provide value engineering and cost optimization methods

Assist the project manager in change order scopes definition and estimates.

Ability to set judicious expectations and manage them with key stakeholders

Document all portions of the design in a logical, consistent, and legible manner.

YOU MUST HAVE5+ years of fire alarm industry experience, including aspiration systems, smoke control systems, and interfacing to fire protection, fire suppression, and other commonly used fire integration systems required to make a complete fire solution

WE VALUEProven track record as a technical manager working in a complex sales process.

NICET level 3 or higher certification in Fire Alarm

Strong industry experience. Must understand customers & markets.

Excellent Negotiation Skills: Ability to understand the customer needs, negotiate complex sales and total value offerings to customers.

Strong bias for action, with the ability to work independently and make decisions with limited information.

Strong Coaching and Influencing Skills.

Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization and influence without formal authority.

Good in problem solving, Influencing, Negotiate interpersonal relationship skills

Bachelors Degree Engineering
