Sr. Payroll Specialist

Description Robert Half is working with a fast-growing company that is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant with strong analytical skills and expertise in garnishments to join their payroll team. This is a remote position, hence offers you the flexibility to work from your desired location.Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of payroll processing and garnishments.

Accurately calculate garnishment amounts and ensure timely remittances.

Interpret garnishment orders and applicable state laws concerning withholding and remittance requirements.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records.

Liaise with HR, Benefits, and other departments as necessary to resolve issues and maintain payroll integrity.

Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to payroll processing and garnishments.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and garnishments.

Strong knowledge of garnishment laws and regulations.

Proficiency in payroll software.

Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

Strong numerical skills and an analytical mindset.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Understanding of multi-state payroll tax laws would be a plus.
