Staff Accountant

Responsibilities held by the Staff Accountant include the preparation of monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

Partake in annual closing processes

Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision

Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed

Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules

Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings

Requirements

Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

Epicor experience desired

Knowledge of bank reconciliations

Well-founded grasp of Accounts Receivable (AR)

Sales and use tax experience

Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

Strong analytical capabilities and discernment

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
