Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry located in BAYPORT, Minnesota. As a Staff Accountant, your role will be centered around maintaining the general ledger, conducting financial analyses, and supporting accounting projects. This role will provide you with the opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a dynamic environment.Responsibilities include: Assisting in the maintenance of a comprehensive and accurate general ledger Consolidating, examining, and analyzing accounting records Applying accounting skills to communicate and disclose information following corporate standards and GAAP Preparing and posting period-end journal entries Assisting with period-end and year-end close and consolidation processes Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations and researching inaccuracies Resolving discrepancies promptly and conducting analysis of financial records and systems Compiling analysis and reports for department management and other business partners Continuously improving mindset performing daily tasks and working through existing processes and procedures Providing supporting documentation and assisting with both internal and external audit inquiries Supporting accounting projects and processes within the department. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations Demonstrated ability in performing Bank Reconciliations Proficient with General Ledger maintenance and management Experience with Journal Entries preparation and posting Familiarity with Month End Close processes and procedures Knowledge and experience in Audit operations Ability to perform Account Reconciliation effectively Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Familiarity with accounting software and systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Commitment to ethical behavior and compliance with laws and regulations.
