Steel Mill Factory WorkerStart ASAP

Triad Inc. America is looking for factory workers for a new steel mill in MONTICELLO, MN

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: Assists skilled tradespeople in their duties as directed and supervised by the Production Manager, Production Lead or Production Supervisor. We are searching for individuals who are willing and able to learn the operations and become experienced steel mill workers. While on this jobsite, you will be required to follow instructions, perform physically demanding work, and contribute to Safe work practices. Applicants must be able to continuously adhere to safety guidelines. .

This facility manufactures custom steel pieces for solar racking and tracker systems. They produce a full line of wire, cable and steel products and cable assemblies for the solar industry. No previous steel mill experience is needed we will train on site.

TASKS AND ACTIVITIES:

1. Lifting, flipping, stacking and down-stacking structural steel piles.

2. Performs general housekeeping and operates shop equipment under supervision.

SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be able to repetitively lift in excess of 50 LBS and work outdoors or in buildings without heating or air conditioning while wearing PPE.

2. Good hand-eye coordination.

3. Ability to safely operate and work with a variety of tools and machines, including power drills, grinders, pressure washers, etc.

4. Teamwork, endurance and ability to verbally communicate work situations and conditions, including hazards to co-workers and other affected parties at the facility.

-Looking for laborers with a construction background

-Must be physically willing and able to perform intense physical labor

-Must have steel toed boots to start

-Willing to learn and adapt

-Pay starts at $15/hr.

-Must have reliable transportation and live locally. No per diem offered

-Job is in a factory/warehouse setting so may be exposed to outdoor / indoor temperatures if bay doors are open.
