Are you enthusiastic about solving social issues and making a difference in people's lives? The Workforce Innovations and Poverty Solutions (WIPS) Team within the Public Sector Group works to improve the conditions of America's most at-risk populations-reaching out directly to the populations in need, as well as providing strategic consulting support to human services agencies throughout the United States. WIPS provides rigorous research, evaluation, and technical assistance to address a diverse set of critical social issue areas including employment and workforce programs, poverty solutions, fatherhood and family support initiatives, and interventions for families in at-risk situations.All our work is done in a professional, collegial, and intellectual environment that allows individuals the latitude they need to perform work that parallels their passions.We are seeking an undergraduate intern (rising junior or senior) to provide support across a range of federal, state, and commercial projects during the summer of 2022. You may work remotely for this internship. Our WIPS staff is located across the United States and in ICF’s Fairfax, Virginia, Los Angeles, and New York City offices. Key Responsibilities: Analyst Interns will quickly assume active roles on our project teams. Areas of responsibility include:1. Training and Technical AssistanceSupport events management and logistics for a wide variety of meetings, both online and in-person.

Assist with the preparation of work products, training materials, or deliverables to clients.

Draft reports, correspondence, talking points, and presentations.

Support off-site events, including meeting documentation.

Prepare web content and work with online systems.

Research and Evaluation

Perform data entry and conduct analysis.

Assist with the preparation of work products or deliverables to clients.

Conduct research and support site visits, interviews, and focus groups.

Support development of literature reviews and research briefs.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment

Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently

Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

Demonstrated professional or volunteer experience pertaining to outreach, social media, or marketing

Previous professional or administrative experience

Minimum Qualifications

Current undergraduate beginning Junior or Senior year in Fall 2022.

Minimum current GPA of 3.0 in public policy, political science, social work, or related social services field.
