SUSHI CHEF-New Concept Cocktail-Bar/Restaurant (Northeast Minneapolis)

MESTIIZO — a new cocktail-driven restaurant and bar in Northeast Minneapolis — is looking for a skilled, creative Sushi Chef to join our opening team.

We blend Latin American and Asian influences, focusing on craft, culture, and connection. Our ideal candidate brings strong sushi technique, artistic presentation, and an open mind for innovation.

POSITION:

Sushi Chef (Full-Time or Part Time / Hourly + Tips)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Prepare and present sushi and sashimi/crudos with consistency and artistry

- Maintain seafood inventory and uphold the highest freshness standards

- Opportunity to collaborate on menu creation and fusion ideas with our culinary & bar teams

- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and compliance with health standards

- Contribute to a positive, creative, team-driven culture

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

- 1+ years professional sushi experience

- Strong knife and fish-butchery skills

- Passion for creativity and fusion cuisine

- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting

- Food safety certification a plus
