Our client is seeking for a Systems Administrator (Hybrid). You must be located within driving distance to Minneapolis Full Time Direct Hire (Not A Contract) Description The System Administrator position encompasses a wide variety of responsibilities and is integral to the smooth and secure installation, operation, and maintenance of servers, services, and network infrastructure, including the areas where this equipment is housed. A primary function is assisting Help Desk staff and resolving end-user facing technical issues related to the aforementioned systems, services, and equipment. System Administrators are also involved in the vetting, design, and refactoring of workstations, software, and services, as well as the policies and guidelines surrounding them. They report to the Systems Engineer who is responsible for directing and prioritizing their workload. This is a full-time position that provides a wide range of benefits including Paid Time Off (PTO), medical, dental, life and long-term disability insurance, and a retirement plan. The position is primarily home-based but will require in-office visits on an as-needed basis, both scheduled and unscheduled. Responsibilities:

  • Server, service (including SaaS), and network administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance, including the office spaces in which this equipment resides (technology vendors and manufacturers include but are not limited to Microsoft, Dell, Google, Canonical, Quest, IBM, HP, Apple, Paragon)
  • Server and workstation (desktop and mobile) golden image maintenance
  • Maintain and troubleshoot patch management systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot software distribution systems including vetting new software
  • Assist in tier II/III Help Desk support for all aforementioned and end-user facing technologies
  • Maintain and train on documentation for both internal IT and end-users' consumption
  • Maintain and troubleshoot security focused systems including but not limited to AV, SIEM, NIDS
  • Maintain and troubleshoot backup and DR systems including conducting regular exercises to ensure data integrity
Qualifications/Job Requirements:
  • 4 or more years of experience in IT
  • 2 or more years of experience in Systems Administration
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Team-oriented
  • Communication and organizational soft skills with a willingness to train others
  • Flexibility to work after normal business hours as needed
  • Professional experience in these domains is desirable: Microsoft operating systems, Google Workspace, Azure/O365/SharePoint, MDM, Ubuntu Linux, PowerShell/CLI scripting, SQL, patch management
Confidentiality Requirements: This position may require the individual to have access to confidential records and information. To successfully perform this position, the confidentiality of the information with which the individual has contact must be maintained. Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes, IT appliances, and other hardware
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • You may be asked to assist in low voltage wiring/troubleshooting. This could include working on ladders.
