Description We are in the process of recruiting a Tax Manager for our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is in the service industry and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The Tax Manager will be responsible for various tasks including income tax compliance, sales tax compliance, and the preparation of requests for external tax preparers. Responsibilities: Oversee the completion of ASC 740, ensuring all tasks are done accurately and in compliance with regulations Handle income tax compliance matters, ensuring that all procedures are correctly followed Manage sales tax compliance, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reported Prepare and submit requests to external tax preparers as needed, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurately completed Work on tax provision workpapers, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date Respond to tax notices in a timely and professional manner, addressing any issues or concerns raised Participate in special projects as needed, contributing your expertise in tax management Utilize skills in CCH ProSystem Fx and Accounting Functions to carry out tasks effectively Apply knowledge of Annual Income Tax Provision and Entity Formation in managing tax-related tasks Handle tasks related to Multi-state Tax, ensuring compliance with regulations across different states. Requirements Proficiency in CCH ProSystem Fx. Extensive experience in Accounting Functions. Knowledge of Annual Income Tax Provision. Expertise in Entity Formation. Familiarity with ASC 740. Experience in Income Tax Compliance. Ability to handle Multi-state Tax. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Tax Coach (CTC) certification is highly desirable. Proven experience as a Tax Manager or similar role in the Service industry. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong understanding of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations. Familiarity with financial software. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong project management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
