This role is responsible for supporting the implementation of our transportation management system. This role is also responsible for providing analytical support, within our transportation management system, for transportation programs including small package, LTL, private fleet, dedicated, international, courier, truckload, rail or expedited.
This position is looking for an individual with experience in Blue Yonder/JDAResponsibilities: Manage at least two supplier relationships including contract negotiation, supplier interaction, and WESCO adoption. Lead supply chain projects or analysis for the director of transportation in support of business opportunities, sales growth initiatives, and customer proposals. Function as backup and trainer for new Transportation Analysts on administrative and reporting processes. Assist Transportation Manager in development, negotiation, and administration of national programs for specific modes, including small package, LTL, private fleet, dedicated, international, courier, truckload, rail, and expedited. Analyze and improve mode-specific service and expense metrics. Create and maintain daily, weekly, monthly reports for management. Participate in LEAN initiatives. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Applies functional knowledge to design and customize workflow systems to provide seamless integration for users. Translates business needs into technical requirements. Writes functional requirements, develop test plans, and works with production issues. Assists with design and implementation of operational and system enhancements to ensure production capabilities are both effective and efficient. Performs business analysis of systems and follows through full development life cycle. Troubleshoots basic problems and recommends appropriate actions. Analyzes business processes, identifies process deficiencies, researches solutions, and plans and coordinates correction of these deficiencies. Coaches less-experienced business systems analysts. Provides expertise on content, processes, and procedures associated with enterprise applications, including educates others on workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by enterprise resource planning (ERP) modules.Qualifications: Associate degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) preferred 2+ years required of transportation, customs, logistics or supply chain Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated Pertinent laws, codes, and regulations Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Transportation & customs-specific systems) Knowledge of Tariff Classification WESCOM, Tandem, general database knowledge preferred
