additional duties that are assigned by the supervisor.Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, such as frames for assembly, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirementsReads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, and schematics, and can work from sketches or verbal instructionsPerforms free-hand MIG weldingPerforms complex assembly of machinesPerforms machining to complete the welding taskAssists in developing and building jigs and fixturesCan use basic hand tools such as a tape measure, squares, drill, and grinderBasic computer skills to access drawings on a computerAssists other departments as neededWorks with and coordinates activities with other job classificationsFollows safe work practices and all environmental and health & safety policies and proceduresReads and understands shop orders and bill of materials (BOMs)Understands how the tools and materials replenishment system operatesUnderstands the KanBan system
