Window Installer- Crew Lead

Looking for a well rounded installer to lead a crew of 3-4 individuals with less experience.

Currently we operate with 2 full size installs crews (around 13 guys) and also do service work and dumpsters for our installs as well as others. Work is generally on the west side of the Twin Cities, but we generally work within 1 hour of St Paul. Tools and equipment are stored in Savage and this serves as our base of operations.

We started a large commercial job which has involved several subcontractors and new hires. When the job is over in a few months, some of the subcontractors plan to part ways and there is a need for the remaining employees to switch gears into residential installs. These employees will primarily have experience with this commercial job, and will need guidance and training to pivot into residential installations.

The ideal candidate has experience installing windows in commercial and residential settings. You should be creative, easygoing, and adaptable. We work closely with contractors and homeowners, and a certain degree of flexibility and consideration for their needs is required. No experience in managing a crew is required, we can train for this role. An open mind and patience will be helpful. No tools besides basic hand tools are required.

Compensation is very competitive; we try to make money on volume which means we are able to pay employees a strong wage. For a well rounded installer with 2-3 years of experience, you would start around $35-45/hr and there is room to grow past $100,000/year with proven stellar performance. We can discuss a salaried position. A company truck may also be provided if you are proven trustworthy and insurable.

As far as benefits, we are a small company so at this time we offer only PTO. I also provide an amount per year to purchase yourself new hand tools, safety gear, etc, and supply branded work clothes.

-pass a background check

-be an insurable driver on commercial policy

-have reliable transportation

-be reliable and punctual

-be professional and presentable

-lift up to 100lbs including going up stairs

-climb ladders up to 40ft

-use power and hand tools safely and efficiently

-deal respectfully with homeowners, contractors, and other employees

-install windows and doors properly

-perform service, maintenance, or repair on windows, doors, and siding
