We strive to make Stratas Foods a great place to work and are building a team capable of meeting our business goals.Job DescriptionThe procurement/risk management position is responsible for the direction, planning and coordination of procurement and supply chain activities for assigned edible oils. The individual will purchase goods that support quality, cost, and service level standards, manage standards, manage business relationships with related suppliers and key industry personnel, continually evaluate the risk management strategies (including hedging and cash purchases) and execute plans to meet changing economic and competitive situations. This position will work with sales to develop customer risk management strategies, conduct market presentations and solidify Stratas Foods as the supplier of choice.- Assist in the development and execution of procurement, hedging, and risk management strategies for all edible oils to minimize price risk exposure including contract management
- Provide supply and demand commodity input analysis, price forecasting, commodity research, and cost risk management for major commodity ingredients
- Provide Key Management with regular analysis and updates on commodity markets, risk strategies, and business impacts including both internal and external presentations
- Assist sales in development of customer risk management programs. Participate in customer visits as the commodity expert and present market analysis and forecasts.
- Tracks, monitors, and manage daily oil positions to insure all risk management strategies are fully met.
- Aggressively work with Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other key internal support areas to insure all are aware and working toward key department objectives
