Think that’s cool? Keep reading:The RoleDirect supervisor responsibility over the Material Program Managers and staff supporting supply chain management work scope for Ships Program Management. Roles include multiple program functions within the larger organizational unit to provide material support and status for current and future requirements. Will be accountable for assisting in setting and operating to program objectives and providing guidance to subordinates based on those objectives and company policy/procedures. Director Material Program Manager responsibilities include assisting the Material Program Managers (M3/2) in: planning, risk/opportunity management, ensuring material support and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for related Supply Chain statement of work. Knowledge and application of Supply Chain practices, policies and procedures. Acts as an advisor to support staff to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems. Supports new business proposals including support of NAR-ICE proposal reviews. Has Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities of monitoring and reporting on material cost against the PMB and AOP. Responsible for the designated ship(s) material budget and execution. Oversees and manages ongoing projects and serves as liaison between Program and Ship Construction management and planning. Reviews and presents status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops and coordinates resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and material issues. Develops and maintains mechanisms/metrics (including weekly program metrics) for monitoring progress and problem solving with Program Managers, Ship Program Directors and Craft Managers.Must HaveBachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with 10 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience or Master's degree and 6 years relevant experience.Nice to Have Project or Programs Management relevant experience Experience and extensive knowledge in Supply Chain Procurement and Inventory Control Maintain, create and present Executive Level Briefing Packages Manage Cross Functional Tiger/Issue Resolution Teams Serve as liaison/problem solver between Program Mgmt., Engr. Planning and SCM organizations Understand budget management, EVMS, and EVMS CAM roles.
