Responsibilities:- This key role is primarily responsible for implementing the client's data strategy, which includes - identifying current and future data to gather, store, retrieve, analyze, and report in support of the organization s programs and operations, including governance of over the business data.
- This includes data for decision support, business intelligence, governance, customer relationship management, data warehousing, meta-data repositories, operational data stores, and enterprise storage management
- The Director of Data Management & Analytics will work with the Chief Information Security Officer on matters related to data privacy and security
- Assess and develop mission-critical programs, act as a change agent, to lead the transformation of the organization through the execution of the evolving data strategy.
- Facilitate the establishment and execution of the roadmap and vision for information delivery and management, including the enterprise data warehouse, big data, BI & analytics, content management and data management.
- Lead data architects and data engineers to architect and deliver the solutions that fulfill the business information needs and align with the information vision and strategy.
- Apply business strategy while driving technology strategy, balancing short-term and long-term needs to ensure that the architecture can scale and evolve accordingly.
- Engage an end-to-end approach by connecting all the pieces of data to deliver the data while leveraging all available assets.
- Provide advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures to ensure schedule attainment, product development process adherence, and performance and budget targets are met.
- Take an active role in the performance management process by completing goal setting, interim review, and year-end review on a timely basis and soliciting ongoing feedback.
- Drive and improve data management, reporting and analytics team and compels collaboration.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive information management solutions and end-to-end development life-cycle support and processes.
- Minimum 8 years leading a team including architects, engineers, quality assurance, and operations professionals.
- Established experience delivering information management solutions to large numbers of end-users.
- Demonstrated understanding of enterprise Data Warehouse, Big Data, BI & Analytics, Content Management and Data Management.
- Experience with 2 or more vendors in any of the following areas including; SQL Server, Oracle 11g, MySQL, SQL Data Warehouse Appliance, Oracle Exadata, Netezza, Greenplum, Vertica, Teradata, Aster Data, SAP HANA, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, Spotfire, Tableau, Qlikview, R, Oracle Endeca, Oracle OBIEE, SAP Business Objects, SAS and other Analytics Vendors with BI components.
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or relevant field from an accredited college or university.
