Job DescriptionJob SummaryThis position is part of the health plan finance team and supports the financial management of the WI health plan. The individual in this role will assist with the monthly close process, forecasting and budgeting, regulatory reporting, developing financial models, and responding to any ad hoc reporting requests for leadership and regulatory agencies.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Financial analysis including budgeting, forecasting, close reporting, and month-end variance analysis
Complete accurate and timely financial reporting and identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies
Analyze various aspects of the financial operations of the Plan including revenues, expenses, utilization and membership to assist in impact analysis.
Prepare schedules and worksheets for the Plan's regulatory financial reporting requirements.
Coordinate, research and respond to follow-up questions from state and federal regulators.
Contribute to the production and qualitative review of regulatory reports.
Special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Coordinate with auditors in their requests for financial and compliance information including regulatory, external, and internal audit review (including Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize effectively to multi-task under tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
