Facilitates an open door policy and appropriately directs team member relations issues to the Administrator, Director of Nursing Services, Regional Director of Human Resources and/or Regional Vice President.
Conducts recruitment effort for designated positions within centers, including the complete recruitment life cycle from postings, placing advertisement, sourcing, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the drug screen. Serves as the primary liaison from the center to local schools and organizations to foster applicant flow and potential candidates.
Act as the subject matter expert on all HR, Benefits and Payroll policies and procedures.
Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Submits online investigation requests, new-employee background checks, and reference checks.
Facilitates engaging on-boarding process, including pre-hire paperwork and new team member orientations.
Processes and maintains payroll records bi-weekly; including correcting missed punches prior to payroll.
Processes required documents through HRIS (UltiPro) to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions, including new hire information, payroll changes, and terminations.
Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
Ensures all team member personnel files are up-to-date and in accordance with regulatory standards.
Ensures various human resource policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to; conducts in-service training on new or updated policies that affect team members.
Ensures adherence to the center wage scale.
Coordinates new, exit, pulse and annual team member surveys for the centers.
Leads the center Make Your Mark Committee to improve retention and engagement.
Center liaison to Loss Prevention with workers compensation injury process.
Administers and coordinates documentation for all leaves of absence, including FMLA and associated documents.
Forecasts open positions by being fluent with Workforce Management reports that include hours of labor, overtime, special pay, retention and turnover.
Ensures all up-to-date legal postings are placed in a designated area within established timeframes.
Performs other duties as required and assigned.
QualificationsPreferred/Required Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree and/or one to three years’ direct human resources experience.
Payroll experience required.Knowledge of timekeeping software and hardware programs and processing.
Proficiency with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required.
Ability to conduct training for team members required.
Experience with HRIS platform required, UltiPro preferred
