Staff Software Engineer 5We are looking for one top software engineer to work on an extremely exciting project new to Change Healthcare. If you would like to drive the architecture and technical direction of a green-field, AWS-based set of applications using microservice and serverless technology, this is the team for you. We will be building a strong, close-knit team that will work in a DevOps environment and will contain both strong API and UI components. And we need one strong, high level engineer that will work closely with all stakeholders and technology thought leaders across of one of the most vibrant healthcare technology companies anywhere.The main requirement for this position is a strong sense of curiosity, the desire to learn and the ability to work well in a team. You will be the lead mentor in a strong mentoring atmosphere and work in an agile environment with a high degree of cooperation. You will help determine an enterprise-wide integration strategy that will direct Change Healthcare for many years into the future. If you would like to be on the cutting edge of healthcare technology, this is a rare opportunity.Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent experience.Characteristics:Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Skills/Knowledge: Leads design solutions to complex issues and advance technology, Capable of debating and advocating for design and processes aligned to company objectives

Competencies: Independently translates business requirements and can take design, development and delivery ownership through participation and leading others.

Leads multiple teams in modular design, implementation, and testing. Proposes complete solutions to complex technical problems.

PI LevelWork with product one PI ahead to ensure that features are properly groomed.

Work with the IMN Architect to plan features in alignment with the overall architecture vision.

Identify and answer big technical questions prior to the feature being presented to the teams for planning.

Work with product to identify both functional and non-functional acceptance criteria.

Drive any architectural RFCs associated with upcoming features.

Work with product to plan and break down both feature and technical initiatives into manageable work units.

Clearinghouse LevelWork across teams to ensure that work in progress is in alignment with the long-term architectural vision for the program.

Work with the IMN Architect to develop and implement a practical plan to migrate from current state to the long-term desired architecture.

Execute POC work to develop patterns and standards.

Work across core clearinghouse teams to identify boundaries and interfaces between teams.

Own architectural governance and standardization for core clearinghouse.

Team levelAssist with implementation of high priority crosscutting initiatives (write code).

Guide and mentor engineers to ensure implementation that meets standards and best practice.

Colorado Residents Only: The base pay range for Colorado residents is $111,150.00 - $228,060.00 plus any relevant incentive pay programs that may be aligned to the role.
