This position will be based at 101 Airport Industrial Drive | Southaven, MS 38671 (Memphis Distribution Center).An Inbound Receiving Clerk is responsible for verifying and documenting the receipt of materials in the receiving department. This role involves ensuring that all items from a particular shipment are received and accounted for accurately. Additionally, the clerk may also have secondary responsibilities such as processing parcels and assisting in processing tasks within the euro area.Overall, an Inbound Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt of materials in a receiving department. They contribute to maintaining inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and facilitating the smooth flow of materials within an organization.Responsibilities

Verifying the accuracy of received materials: The clerk will carefully inspect and compare the received items with the accompanying documentation, such as purchase orders or packing slips, to ensure that the correct materials and quantities have been received.

Documenting and recording received materials: The clerk will accurately record the received items into the inventory system or other relevant documentation. This includes updating inventory records, tracking numbers, and any other required information.

Organizing and storing received materials: The clerk will properly organize and store received materials in designated areas, ensuring that they are easily accessible and protected from damage or loss.

Coordinating with suppliers and internal departments: Inbound Receiving Clerks may need to communicate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to received materials. This may involve coordinating returns, exchanges, or replacements as necessary.

Processing parcels: As part of their secondary function, the clerk may be responsible for processing incoming parcels or packages. This can involve receiving, inspecting, and distributing parcels to the appropriate departments or individuals.

Assisting in euro area processing: Depending on the organization's operations, the clerk may support processing tasks within the euro area. This can involve handling documentation, coordinating with relevant parties, or ensuring compliance with any specific requirements related to euro area operations.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience

Minimum 1-2 years of successful experience in a large distribution facility

Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of inbound receipt management and selection

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s degree and/or equivalent experience

Lean certification, specifically Kaizen or 5S certifications

Expert SAP experience and Microsoft Office Suite

The hourly pay rate for this position is $19.35. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
