Title: Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Resource

Duration: 18 months

Location: Jackson, MS (onsite )

Job Description:

Client is seeking a Vendor to provide a government cloud-based software solution. The cloud-hosted environment will support the CCWIS application at maximum user capacity and the system's database functions. The goal of the CCWIS Project will be to achieve the deployment of a CCWIS compliant system for the Client. The CCWIS Project will be a significant undertaking and will involve many complex processes to implement. The agency anticipates the project will take 24 to 30 months to complete and will cost approximately $30 million to implement. The IV&V resource for this project will provide IV&V services for the CCWIS project. The services for this position will inlcude, but are not limited to the following tasks:
  • Attendance at project meetings or events to observe process
  • Review of documents or products
  • Produce Weekly status reports and project recommendations
  • Product Monthly status reports for Federal Administration for Children and Families
  • Independent testing or operation of software
  • Inspection of project operations and artifacts
  • Conversations or interviews with project staff
  • Identify High-Risk areas early
  • Provide Management with improved and objective visibility into the progress and quality of the implentation effort
  • Reduce errors in delivered products and increase probability of project seccess
  • Provide an objective analysis to assist with system development issues and to help make informed decisions
  • The Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Manager will report directly to the Agencies Chief Information Officer.

Required Skills/Experience: - IV&V Services (8 Years experience) - Risk Management (8 Year experience) - Project Management (5 Years experience) - Application Configuration and Deployment (5 Years experience) - Application testing, test measurement, and test reporting (5 Years experience) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

Preferred/Not Required:

- Experience with federal requirements for Child Welfare management systems

- Experience in Child Welfare processes and workflows
