Maintains production and support equipment to planned production and quality specifications.  Responsibility includes electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical components.  Responsible for change over activities including tooling. Plans, installs and qualifies new equipment.Compliance to all Continental and Henderson plant permits, policies and procedures including, but not limited to, environmental, health, safety, security,  ISO 14001 and Environmental Management systems, TS 16949 and Quality Management Systems, Human Resources policies, and Continental Business System elements.Works toward completion of Apprentice Checklist seeking guidance and training to achieve completion of the list in the time required.Performs work on electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems performing PM’s and making repairs under the guidance of Lead Technicians and Mentors.Assumes a responsible role in the output and quality of equipment in his area.Additional activities:  May be required to setup and use ladders and hand and power trucks.Actively participates in cost reduction, continuous improvement and team activities.Complete work orders sheets and log work in SAP-PM program.Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Maintains equipment functionsPerform associated duties as required.Use of, and ability to be certified on, forklift and material handling equipment, lifts and booms.Good general industrial safety guidelines (Fire evacuation, accident reporting, PPE, Lock-out/Tag-out, hot work permits, waste disposal, confined space work).
