AS A MATERIAL HANDLING CLERK, YOU WILL:
Makes recommendations to the Departmental Supervisor regarding the following areas:
Workforce utilization
Training
Is actively on the floor and involved in the day-to-day work.
Highlights needs of daily volume to team and assigns work to team members.
Follow-up to ensure all material movements within the warehouse are completed correctly.
May provide coaching and direction to team members.
Analyzes productivity and quality reports to achieve established goals.
Performing daily put away audits.
Performs associate/operator work whenever possible, balancing their other duties, unless there is an urgent need in the warehouse that warrants top priority.
Assists in other areas of warehouse as assigned.
Assists Inventory with Bin audits to ensure put away actions by team members are accurate.
Ensures all material handlers follow MDC material handling processes and procedures.
Assists with EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) activities, training, and safe work practices.
Performs necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment.
Must meet department quality, attendance, and productivity requirements.
Must perform duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations required by Company, federal, state, and local provisions.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
Must possess strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal mentorship.
Must have successfully completed and passed Emerson’s training on all required equipment which included but is not limited to; forklift, cherry picker, and tri-loader.
Working knowledge of JDE.
Basic computer skills including Excel, Work, Microsoft Office, and Power Point.
One year of warehouse, manufacturing, production, or operations experience.
Requires the ability to understand/communicate quality requirements and oversee operations to ensure goals are met.
Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a fair and cooperative manner to support a team environment.
Must be able to instruct and encourage a small group of employees performing simple but diversified work.
Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 20 feet wearing fall protection gear
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and walk/stand/work on concrete for 8+ hours
Ability to use the Hand (RF) scanner effectively and efficiently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
Previous experience on a stand-up lift, reach truck, or tri-loader
High school diploma or equivalent experience
