In conjunction with this role, you will work from a variety of source documents to verify part numbers, part locations and quantities. We believe in building a better world for our customers all over the world.Because we value your performance, Caterpillar offers a total rewards package that provides day one benefits (medical, dental, vision, RX, 401K, and life insurance) along with the potential of earning a quarterly payout based upon business goals/results.Additional benefits include paid vacation days and paid holidays (prorated based upon hire date).Basic Qualifications :Previous work or volunteer experienceBasic computer experienceMust be able to work at heights of up to 30 feet from the floorTop candidates will also have :Experience with the operation of specialized logistics equipment such as reach truck, order picker, and turret truckPrevious distribution center, warehouse, and/or order filling experienceExperience working with written instructions for a given task such as Standard Work or Standard Operating ProceduresP ay and shift details:Work location: Corinth, MSWork schedules: M-F, 2 pm - 10 pm or 3 pm - 11 pm and M-TH, 3 pm - 1 am or 4 pm - 2 am or 6 pm - 4 am (work hours depend upon work assignment/placement)Starting pay rate: $16.14/hour + 7% of base rate for night shift premium (equates to $1.12/hour night shift premium)Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :Assigned to specialized equipment: i.e. Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, Turret TrucksConsistently meet equipment-specific efficiency targetsUtilizing and inspecting heavy equipment including sit down fork truck, pallet jack and overhead hoistsPerform material handling and warehousing functions, order filling, processing, storing/picking of parts, materials, equipment and suppliesOperating automated packaging equipment, shipping and receivingMultiple systems interactionsInteraction with carrier driversAdhere to all facility safety policies and proceduresUses machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, packaging, stenciling, etc.Operates electronic hardware to receive material into inventory, including iPadsPerforms 5S/housekeeping functions as requiredEssential Job Functions :Frequently lift parts up to 35 pounds individually or 70 pounds as a team liftFrequently bending, reaching and squatting while performing tasksConsistent usage of required PPE for task being performedWork in an environment with frequently changing temperaturesFrequently work at heights of up to 30 feet from the floorMust be able to cross reference material to documentation for verificationMust be able to work overtime when requiredOvertime requirements :Overtime is required depending on business need.
