NOC LeadESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Utilize TEOCO Cruiser system to monitor incoming alarms from all network elements.

  • Cellular/Wireless: Nokia, Alcatel Lucent, and other hardware types.
  • Broadband Data/DWDM/SONET: Fujitsu, Nokia, Adtran, BTI, Cisco and other hardware types.
• Create trouble tickets that clearly document network issues, update tickets regularly, and close tickets with appropriate root cause and methods utilized to resolve the issue.• Engage appropriate Engineering, Field, and/or Vendor resources to assist in resolving network issues.• Dispatch Field personnel to appropriate locations based on analysis of alarms and other available data.• Document via tickets all access and work to be performed by any personnel at/on all company locations or assets (Cell sites, Central Offices, etc.).• Receive and work incoming technical support escalations from lower tier technical and customer-facing support organizations.• Interact with internal and external customers by providing status on network issues.• Create shift handoff reports notifying next shift and NOCC leadership of existing issues. QUALIFICATIONS: • Advanced working knowledge of CDMA/LTE/4G/5G cellular/wireless technologies and Broadband/DWDM/SONET/Transport technologies required.• At least 7 years of work experience in a Network Operations Control Center at a cellular/wireless and/or transport provider required.• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and professionally in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.• Must have excellent coaching, communication, reading, spelling, and typing skills.• Provide technical training and coaching to NOCC Technicians on Transport and/or Wireless technologies, network surveillance tools, ticketing procedures, and outage handling processes.• Provide NOCC Technicians with technical expertise and support on complex network issues.• Act as “Bridge Captain” by opening conference bridges and driving outage resolution with internal teams and external vendor personnel.• Create and send Impairment notifications to Executives and escalate outages with vendors as necessary.• Audit trouble tickets regularly to ensure NOCC techs are documenting issues/resolutions correctly.• Assist NOCC Supervisor and Manager in evaluating NOCC Tech performance and take corrective action when necessary.• Rotate on-call responsibilities with other Leads, NOCC Supervisor, and NOCC Manager.
