Job Summary:

The purpose of this role is to lead the Process Safety Management program at a chemical manufacturing company.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

Lead site Process Safety Management Program

Create, update, audit and train location on all PSM related policies and procedures

Lead, manage & facilitate Management of Change (MOC) Program & Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for facility

Assist in maintaining and have responsibility for Process Safety Information (PSI) such as procedures, heat and material balances, facility siting studies & P&ID's

Work with team to identify process safety risks and manage projects to implement mitigation plans

Participate in Corporate Process Safety Council

Lead & facilitate incident investigations

Successful Incumbents Will Have:

B.S. in Engineering

Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process engineering and application of process safety principals in manufacturing environment

Proficient in industry standards & codes related to process safety & design

Strong written & verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office IT

Position Scope/ Contribution:

The incumbent will be familiar with and have working knowledge/understanding of unit operations and safety systems in petrochemical facilities such as safety instrumentation systems, process shutdown, fire & gas detection, relief/flare systems, firewater protection and emergency response.
