Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Technical supervision of multiple complex projects through concept, design, production, delivery, and lifecycle in-service support
  • Management of project engineering team & coordination with interdepartmental groups
  • Supervision and execution of engineering drafting, design, and calculations
  • On-site review, coordination, and revision with production teams
  • Enforcement and continuous improvement of project & engineering standardization, policies, and procedures
  • Engineering review, inclusive of compliance with applicable standards, rules, and laws
  • Development and supervision technical specifications and material take-offs
  • Critical vendor, Class oversight, and statutory body communication
  • Engineering support in budgeting, estimating, planning, scheduling, and reviewing ongoing projects
Qualifications:A mechanical/marine engineering or naval architectural degreeExperience in the maritime industry, preferably experience working in shipyardsExperience in design and able to perform calculations - critical attention to detail and adherence to standardsStrong communication and technical writing skillsSkilled in AutoCADSkilled in Rhinoceros 3D modeling (or equivalent)
