Settlement Administrator

Description Robert Half is searching through applicants for a skilled Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that thrives in a fast-paced environment and looking for a long-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent position at a well-established company in the Transport industry. Matching, batching, and coding invoices, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, and resolving A/P issues are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. An individual in this position will need a high aptitude for computer software, be mindful of details and a self motivator. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Southaven, Mississippi area and will be a long-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent position.What you get to do every day

Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

Carry out additional tasks as assigned

Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

Accomplish full-cycle A/P

Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

Provide support during internal and external audits

Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily Requirements - Accounts Payable (AP) experience

Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

Competent with spreadsheets and databases
