Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineer (Associate/Experienced) to join our team in Berkeley, MO or St. Louis, MO .This position will work within the Advanced Kill Chain software team supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.This role will involve the development of real time embedded software, analyzing and debugging software issues, and working in an Agile, collaborative environment. The selected candidate(s) will have the opportunity to play a key role in the development and maintenance of software in support of some of the newest and most advanced systems and capabilities on air dominance platforms.At Boeing, our software engineers use their expertise to dream up next generation software capabilities for some amazing aerospace platforms. Assists with activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems

Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system

Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

Supports software project management and software supplier management functions.

Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools and establishes metrics

Performs software research and trade studies

Troubleshoots basic software issues

Works under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree

1+ years’ experience with C, C, Ada, and/or Python

Experience with Version Control Software

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing mission systems software on aircraft platforms

Software development experience in a collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and automated DevOps processes/tools

Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, Version One, Jenkins, and Collaborator or similar tools

Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance

Typical Education/Experience:Associate (Level 2)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Experienced (Level 3)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Travel:Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
