Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Associate HRBP – Potosi is responsible for providing human resource support to the HRBP on the full spectrum of HR policies/practices/strategies/administration for the Potosi, MO manufacturing facility. Accountabilities include but are not limited to recruitment and onboarding, workforce planning, talent management, learning and development, change management, employee relations, total rewards, benefits, performance management, communications and enhancing employee experience. The Associate HRBP will maintain a strong knowledge base of regulatory requirements and human resource management trends in order to effectively provide counsel to business partners and drive continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBLILITIES:

  • Partner with management and HR team to provide input on strategic direction and overall talent strategies that support the culture, company direction, and the growth needs of the business and employees.

  • Partner with management and HR team to execute change leadership & organizational effectiveness solutions to drive continuous improvement of people processes (e.g., employee engagement, communications, organization design, coaching, learning and development, career development consultation, succession planning, etc.)

  • Provide assistance to the HRBP on assessing current and future organizational challenges and assist in designing/developing interventions to drive improvements.

  • Partner with other HR functions and internal resources to execute corporate wide initiatives and business unit specific programs (e.g., workforce planning, performance management; compensation planning, employee incentive planning, talent reviews, succession planning, benefits, HR administrative duties, etc.)

  • Support HRBP in the identification, investigation and resolution of employee relations issues, anticipate problems whenever possible, and develop, recommend, and initiate appropriate steps for resolution.

  • Participate in hourly and salaried staffing activities including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, process efficacy analysis and continuous improvement.

  • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEOC, etc…). Interpret appropriate laws and policies, apply knowledge by counseling management in a variety of situations, make recommendations regarding policies or procedures and ensure effective administration.

  • Maintain personnel records, employment reports, employment logs, government reports/records, placement records, seniority lists, posting process, absentee audit reports, time and attendance support, etc.

  • Engage in the community

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university and 2 – 5 years human resource leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICAITONS:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to apply to complex organizational issues

  • Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels both inside and outside the organization

  • Working knowledge of organizational development, including organizational design, job design, succession planning, etc.

  • Working knowledge of and experience in team dynamics, leadership development, employee relations, management/leadership effectiveness and facilitation.

  • Demonstrated experience participating in and supporting LEAN initiatives.

  • Flexibility of style and willingness to "roll up your sleeves and get it done"

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and offer creative and different solutions

  • Solid analytical skills, attention to detail and process/program management skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and tasks ensuring results are delivered on time and of high quality.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage people, process and technology to drive improvements.

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.

  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with leadership to develop a culture of customer focus, innovation, collaboration, learning, excellence and openness.

  • Ability to manage expectations of the business and business units.

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with full MS Office Suite and HCMS.
