- Define the public, Cloud-centric, core infrastructure services and common design patterns for the computer, storage, networking, and security domains.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for platform provisioning.
- Serve as a thought leader and consensus builder with a technology-savvy mindset.
- Function as a pragmatic, results-driven, architect; articulating complex IT concepts from technical contributors to all audiences internally and externally.
- Build services for effective provisioning, installing/configuring the Public Cloud Infrastructure including networking, computer, and storage patterns among various areas.
- Partner with application teams to design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code stacks that meet the needs of the applications.
- Adopt Cloud native technologies to build and run scalable applications in public and hybrid clouds. For example: containers, service meshes, microservices, immutable infrastructure, and declarative application programming interfaces (APIs).
- Actively develop and support self-service catalogs for infrastructure provisioning, making them available to application teams.
- Advise on all aspects of cloud infrastructure offerings and solution design.
- Ensure infrastructure provisioning automation satisfies IT general controls and that solutions are deployed in a safe, secure, resilient, and compliant manner to adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Provide hands-on technical coaching to accelerate Cloud infrastructure proficiency across the organization.
- Provide thought leadership on creating solutions built with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS components.
- Provide accurate and current information on all AWS services, as a consultant to the Cloud Acceleration Team (CAT), to solve business use cases including estimates of costs for these Cloud offerings.
- Develop disaster recovery offerings for Cloud-based solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Automation.
- 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure and Platform Engineering for high availability and scalable architectures in the Cloud.
- 2+ years of experience in the architecture and deployment of Cloud services.
- 2+ years of experience using metrics, events, logging, and tracing solutions (i.e., Splunk, Log Analytics, New Relic).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Pragmatic, results-driven architect, with the ability to articulate complex IT concepts to all audiences.
- Certified AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.
