This individual will design, construct, execute, and measure automated build, deployment, test, and associated environment development functions associated with Cloud (AWS, Azure) resident application environments. This individual will focus on the creation, maintenance, enhancement, and defect remediation of IaC (Infrastructure as Code), and CaC (Configuration as Code) in our Terraform/CloudFormation repositories and closing gaps at the Cloud program/chapter/squad level. This individual contributes throughout the DevOps infinity loop, notably our plan, code, test, release, deploy, and monitor phases of our cloud-centric environmental platform releases. This individual will develop, deploy, maintain, monitor, and measure the quality of code, deployment, and availability of the offering under their care. The individual will review product documentation and interact with Product Managers, Agile Team Members, Architects, etc., to identify and enforce quality at the application design, deployment, and infrastructure levels. This individual will be required to support multiple concurrent projects and mentor fellow Engineers.

Daily activities include but are not limited to:
  • Identify and correct deviations, defects, and gaps in the quality and completeness of our development, build, documentation, and infrastructure offerings
  • Identify and reduce Toil throughout the DevOps infinity loop
  • Design, develop, test, repair, and deploy IaC and CaC Terraform/CloudFormation-based code, Python, Go, or BASH-based scripts.
  • Design, develop, test, repair, and deploy CI/CD pipelines.
  • Attend design meetings to ensure the infrastructure/product
  • Assist application/infrastructure teams in migrating to a quality-centric DevOps development/delivery model
  • Execute manual and automated test cases
  • Fully participate in team Agile ceremonies
  • Monitor, track, solution, and report on squad design/deployment/development defects and develop preventive measures to be implemented to avoid a repeat of similar incidents in the future preventively
  • Self-educate increasing knowledge of new IT technologies and platform offerings

Develops conceptual, logical, and physical IT engineering designs, that support the infrastructure requirements of varying levels of technical and business application projects. Completes analysis of business requirements, as it relates to technical infrastructure design, and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements. Assesses testing requirements and prepares testing strategies, as well as preparing implementation and transition plans. Senior level position requires a seasoned professional with a full understanding of industry practices. Requires high level of experience and proficiency in field.

  • The hiring range for these positions are:
    • Associate: 69,600 - 95,700
    • Experienced: 87,500 - 120,340
    • Senior: 104,000 - 143,000
    • Advanced: 117,600 - 161,700
  • This is a National range; certain locations/states ranges may vary.
  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
