Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Cloud Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO.The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for working with highly functional development team automating service deployments; optimizing system performance; integrating with enterprise authentication services; establishing/improving system monitoring; maintaining established security protocols; provide customers technical support. The Cloud Engineer will be integrated with an agile environment participating with scrums and other meetings.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct full range of cloud engineering, administrative and IT operational tasks to support the environments to meet business needs
Build and support AWS infrastructure resources using CloudFormation and Code Pipeline (GitLab & Terraform)
Create and manage IAM users, and access policies
Integrate applications and services in AWS cloud environment
Implement and support tools and automation for AWS infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, diagnostics, and scaling
Utilize and maintain Python automation scripts
Use CloudWatch metrics to monitor the health and utilization of AWS resources and applications
Develop, document, and perform approved system maintenance plans
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
5+ years IT experience, preferably system administration of large enterprise networks (Windows, Linux platforms)
Required Skills:
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
Familiarity with DevOps development processes and GitLab Continuous Integration tool
Strong understanding of RHEL/CentOS Linux distributions
Knowledge of Bash and Python scripting languages
Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent attention to detail
Team player who works well with customers and colleagues
Work effectively both independently and in a team environment
Desired Skills:
Understanding of cloud APIs
Familiarity with the AWS/CLI
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC); preferably Terraform
Required Certifications:
DoD 8140/8570 IAT III compliance
