Description We are seeking a Controller for a growing service based company in Lee's Summit, Mo. This role will play an integral part in managing the operations of our accounting department, coordinating with internal and external personnel, and maintaining our company's financial health and so much more! Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including financial accounting functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

Coach and develop the Accounting team, directing and controlling daily workflows.

Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external personnel to communicate information, conduct trainings, and facilitate departmental operations.

Support overall department financial goals and objectives.

Manage the company's chart of accounts and managerial structure, assigning entries to proper accounts.

Complete account and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, and be responsible for month-end and year-end closings.

Prepare financial statements and maintain the company’s fixed asset system.

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for the company’s corporate bank accounts.

Manage the process for credit card reconciliation.

Assist with developing and administering department and company budgets, ensuring all transactions performed are in accordance with applicable guidelines and principles.

Utilize ERP System for various accounting operations, and demonstrate advanced knowledge in Excel for data mining and advanced formula creation.

Create analytical reports that provide insights into the company's financial status.

Adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in all operations.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role

CPA designation required

Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

Experience with Auditing and Budget Processes

Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

Proficiency in NetSuite software

Experience in Financial Reporting and Bank Reconciliations

Knowledge of Fixed Assets and Year End Closings

Ability to Audit and Analyze Financial Statements

Experience with Consolidated Financial Statements and Monthly Financial Statements

Skilled in Ad Hoc Financial Analysis

Proficiency in managing Balance Sheets.
