Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Cost & Inventory Manager in Sedalia, Missouri. This position will be focusing on inventory cost accounting and management. You will be working independently, reporting to the CAO, and will be instrumental in streamlining inventory processes prior to D365 Implementation.Responsibilities: Conduct work order processing and cost aggregation tasks effectively Undertake research and clean-up of unprocessed inventory movements, including matching open sales orders and open purchase orders Handle project accounting duties and related tasks Oversee inventory cost accounting and management Implement process improvement projects to streamline inventory processes Utilize ERP solutions for managing inventory and cost accounting tasks Implement manufacturing cost accounting strategies in manufacturing plants Maintain inventory controls and conduct inventory accounting Prepare inventory planning and reporting using inventory software Conduct process improvement projects for enhancing manufacturing costs.Requirements Must have 3 or more years of experience in a similar role as a Cost & Inventory Manager Proficient in ERP Solutions Extensive knowledge of Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Cost Accounting Experience working with Manufacturing Costs and Manufacturing Plants Strong understanding of Inventory Controls, Inventory Accounting, and Inventory Planning & Reporting Proficiency in using Inventory software Ability to lead and manage Process Improvement Projects Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to work independently and in a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
