Description We are seeking a Credit & Collections Manager in the manufacturing industry, based in Chesterfield, Missouri. This role involves managing and overseeing the credit and collections processes in a fast-paced environment. It offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities include: Managing and overseeing the credit and collections process to ensure efficiency and accuracy Utilizing accounting software systems to track and manage customer credit and collections data Managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely and accurate billing functions Overseeing cash activity and cash applications to ensure proper accounting and financial reporting Addressing and resolving customer inquiries related to credit and collections Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action based on account status Ensuring compliance with credit and collections regulations and standards Utilizing skills in credit and commercial collections to manage and resolve complex customer accounts Collaborating with other team members to streamline and improve the credit and collections process Continuously improving knowledge and skills in accounting functions related to credit and collections. Requirements Must have a strong understanding of accounting software systems Proficiency in managing accounting functions is required Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary Proficiency in billing functions is essential Knowledge of cash activity and cash applications is a must Expertise in credit and collections, particularly in a commercial context is crucial Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary Should have strong analytical skills and attention to detail Must be able to work independently and in a team A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry is preferred A professional certification, such as Certified Credit Professional (CCP), is advantageous.
