Responsibilities:

Senior Data Architect Job Location: Ideally in St. Louis, MO

In this role, you will:

Design modern data architectures involving BI, cloud, and big data technologies
Help guide full lifecycle solutions for our clients - including requirements analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, development, testing, and deployment
Enhance the operational effectiveness of the enterprise data warehouse systems and products
Profile and analyze source system data and design extract methodologies
Document all D&A components of an overall solution architecture on large projects
Communicate a detailed ETL architecture and implementation plan to ETL Developers
Implement the solutions you design and mentor other members of the team
Ensure compliance with the architecture through team oversight
Advise on hardware/infrastructure and software needs
Define a strategy for meeting special data requirements
Interview and communicate results with business stakeholders

A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:

Ability to fully document and implement D&A solution architecture
Experience working with client leadership to understand their overarching needs and provide data driven results
Proven capacity to design and implement a full lifecycle D&A solution
Strong SQL skills with an understanding of other query languages (For example: MDX, DAX, Python, etc.)
Proficiency with multiple ETL tools and data storage environments (For example: AWS, Azure, Snowflake, DataBricks, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, etc)
Ability to define a backup, archiving, and disaster recovery strategy
Experience working in a cloud-based solution (preferred experience in multiple cloud environments AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform)
Proven ability to lead and directly contribute to multiple, simultaneous initiatives
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced flexible and agile environment
Experience in a leadership position, willing and wanting to lead and mentor earlier-career technicians
Ability to estimate, scope, and help sell technical consulting projects
