Data Center Solution Architect

Location: Creve Coeur, MO Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Center Solution Architect, this is an FTE/PERM position that will offer a hybrid work structure.

• Must be able to architect/design, implement, and provide support for various technologies including servers, storage, backup/DR, Cloud, virtualization and VDI.
• The ideal candidate will have solid interpersonal skills and is comfortable driving an advanced engineering team involved in production environments with a strong sense of urgency and customer focus.

• Lead pre-sales design and architecture of network infrastructure solutions.
• Participate in the development of client-facing Statements of Work, Bill of Materials and estimates for Professional Services.
• Designing, configuring and supporting data center infrastructure and associated system component and devices (servers, SAN, NAS, etc.)
• Install and configure data center related applications.
• Installing, configuring and supporting data center equipment including servers, storage, backup devices and other software based solutions
• Configuring data center solutions to maximize efficiency and security.
• Implementation, troubleshooting, and support of data center infrastructure solutions.
• Implementing test plans, migration plans, and delivery plans.
• Prepare project documentation including infrastructure diagrams, configurations, and support procedures.
• Provide systems administration and troubleshooting for client installations.
• Understand Servers, Data Storage, Backup/DR, Cloud, Virtualization and VDI and the product lines associated with those solutions.
• Combination of pre-sales architecture and implementation

• 5+ years implementing and architecting Data Center Solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable
• Certifications including VMware VCP, NetApp NATSP & NCIE and Veeam VMTSP preferred
• Engineering experience with mid-sized to enterprise-sized customers is a plus
• Hands on experience with the installation and troubleshooting of NetApp, Cisco, HPE, Veeam, VMware, Scale Computing technology.
• Aptitude to adopt new technologies
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a rapid-paced environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proven incident and problem solving (troubleshooting) skills with an emphasis on timely resolution
• Analytical Abilities - Advanced problem-solving skills including working collaboratively with peer technical teams to analyze & resolve cross-platform problems or to develop problem-solving techniques, tools & instruction for new or complex technologies
• Business Knowledge - Strong understanding of how supported technologies are used in the business operations, consistently uses this knowledge effectively in daily support and handling unusual/critical issues
• Less than 10% travel required for this position
