- Lead in creating the information/data governance architecture required to oversee customer business requirements, design and development of information, and data governance solutions.
- Be responsible for developing data governance vision and strategy for a variety of businesses and organizations.
- Define strategic priorities for enterprise data/information governance architecture.
- Provide leadership for governance organization structures, policies, processes, roles, and responsibilities.
- Be instrumental in implementing key governance processes and/or tooling to foster communication between data consumers and data providers.
- Hands-on experience in applying governance discipline across organizations lines of business and various data domains
- Demonstrable understanding of information governance frameworks and methodologies
- Proven experience with coordinating governance activities across data owner networks to ensure the proper use of data and information
- Understanding of data access right concepts
- Ideally, an understanding of data security and compliance challenges across multiple verticals and industries
- Understanding of data stewardship and data ownership roles and responsibilities
- Experience in developing data retention policies and adhering to various industry compliance models
- Experience in developing custom data governance processes and procedures to address business and compliance needs
- Demonstrated history of championing the use of data quality/certification, metadata, and reference data
- Understanding of master data management concepts
- Experience in applying data governance models to support hybrid environments (in-house, cloud, and mixed)
